ABOUT PROJECT
MATARBARI 2×600 MW ULTRA SUPER CRITICAL COAL FIRED POWER PROJECT.
Matarbari power station is part of a large multi-plant complex being organized by the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB). The objective of the Project is to achieve the stable electricity supply in Bangladesh by constructing a coal fired power plant and related facilities in Chattogram region, thereby contributing to sustainable economic growth of Bangladesh. This project falls into the thermal power sector under the JICA guidelines for environmental and social considerations (April 2010).
